What tuning services does UBD offer?
We offer three core performance tuning services: dyno tuning ($875), ECU flash tuning ($525), and suspension tuning ($200). Each service is performed by factory-trained technicians at our Dallas–Fort Worth location (2703 I-30, Grand Prairie, TX). If you're unsure which service is right for your bike and goals, call or book a consultation and we'll walk you through it.
What's the difference between a dyno tune and an ECU flash?
An ECU flash ($525) is a pre-built performance map loaded onto your factory ECU — great for removing factory restrictions and improving throttle response quickly, with no additional hardware required. A dyno tune ($875) runs your bike on a real dynamometer so we can custom-tailor fueling, timing, and air/fuel ratios to your specific motorcycle and any aftermarket parts installed. Dyno is the most accurate way to unlock peak performance; flash is the fastest win for stock or mildly modified bikes.
How long does a tuning service take?
Most services are completed in a single day. ECU flash tuning and suspension setup are typically same-day turnarounds. Dyno tuning usually takes a full day depending on how many pulls and adjustments are needed. We'll give you a clear ETA when you book and keep you updated throughout — our service advisors are responsive and don't disappear on you.
Do I need aftermarket parts to benefit from tuning?
Not at all. Even a completely stock bike benefits from an ECU flash — most manufacturers ship bikes with restrictive factory maps that leave power and rideability on the table. If you have added an exhaust, air filter, or other bolt-on parts, a dyno tune ensures those mods are working together safely and at peak output rather than potentially harming your engine.
Is tuning safe for my bike and warranty?
Our tuning is performed by factory-trained techs who know these platforms inside out. Every dyno tune is designed to protect engine health — we optimize air/fuel ratios and power delivery within safe limits. ECU flashes are fully reversible back to the stock map. As for warranty: aftermarket tuning can affect manufacturer warranty coverage on emissions-related components, so we'll discuss your specific bike and situation before any work begins.
