Suspension Tuning Questions & Answers

What's included in a suspension tune?

Our $200 suspension tuning service includes adjusting preload, compression damping, and rebound damping on your bike's front and rear suspension to match your weight and riding style. We measure sag, calculate your target settings, dial in the clickers, and give you the spec sheet for future reference. Performed by factory-trained technicians at our Dallas–Fort Worth location (2703 I-30, Grand Prairie, TX).

Why does my bike need a suspension tune?

Most bikes leave the factory set up for an 'average' rider that probably isn't you. If you're heavier, lighter, taller, or shorter than that average rider — or if you ride aggressively, two-up, or with luggage — your suspension is almost certainly working against you. A proper tune dramatically improves handling, comfort, and confidence. Most riders describe it as feeling like a totally different bike.

How long does a suspension tune take?

Most suspension tunes are completed in under 2 hours. We measure sag, dial in your preload, then walk through compression and rebound clicker settings. If you want to test ride and tweak, we can do that too. Same-day in almost all cases.

Do I need aftermarket suspension components?

Not at all. Stock suspension on most modern motorcycles has plenty of adjustability — it's just usually set wrong out of the box. Our $200 service dials in your existing factory suspension. If you have aftermarket components like Öhlins, K-Tech, Fox, or Race Tech we can absolutely tune those too — just let us know in your form submission.

What information should I bring?

Wear what you'd typically ride in (gear, boots, helmet) so we can measure rider sag with you on the bike. Also tell us about your typical riding — commuting, sport, track, two-up with a passenger, lots of luggage — since that affects how we set things up. The more we know, the better we can dial it in.

Can you tune any motorcycle's suspension?

We tune most modern street and sport motorcycles. The basics — measuring sag, setting preload, adjusting compression and rebound clickers — apply across nearly all platforms. Cruisers and adventure bikes welcome too. Fill out the form with your year/make/model and we'll confirm any specific considerations for your bike.

How do I book my suspension tune?

Fill out the booking form on this page and a service advisor will reach out within one business day to confirm your appointment. Prefer to talk first? Call us at (469) 563-2038 or use the Contact page and we'll follow up.
